Huntington Ingalls Industries - Technical Solutions Division (HII-TSD) is seeking a dynamic communicator to manage strategic stakeholder engagement. As Stakeholder Engagement Manager, the selected candidate will serve as a vital member of the HII-TSD Communications team, and focus on internal and external stakeholder engagement, globally, via industry trade shows, conferences and other strategic events. The selected candidate will create environments to propel understanding of HII-TS, and its value to the customer domain and national security. With a strategic and measureable approach, the selected candidate will help build valuable partnerships across HII and key communities. Responsibilities and qualifications for the role include:
The selected candidate for this position will be responsible for the following:
Develop and execute a global stakeholder engagement program, reflecting and communicating the HII brand at key trade shows and events.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to plan events/exhibits, align goals, determine objectives and expected ROI.
Amplify key content and messaging, manage resources, and orchestrate all elements across the pre- to post-show timelines.
Manage pre-event logistics, staffing, budget management, creative implementation, and post-event follow-up.
Collaborate with HII-TS Communications team to create and implement strategic campaigns and alignment across stakeholder engagement program.
Develop HII strategic engagement plans with HII counterparts to support streamlined messaging and unified company presence.
Build strong and strategic relationships with external vendors, associations, and industry partners.
Manage the proposals, contracts and invoices of all vendors, from start to finish.
Seek opportunities and take initiative to improve efficiency and effectiveness of processes, resource allocation, and any aspects of the stakeholder engagement program.
Must have Qualifications
10+ years demonstrated successful corporate and/or senior government communications experience.
Experience in the trade show management field, including event/exhibit coordination, associations.
A track record of managing complex events and have excellent interpersonal skills.
Strong ability to manage multiple competing priorities and deliver communications/plans/reports to a variety of stakeholders.
Deep understanding of defense and national security markets.
Results-focused leader and a strategic thinker.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
Self-reliant, good problem solver, results oriented.
Energetic, flexible, collaborate and proactive.
Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, event planning or related discipline is highly desired.
Plans and implements product exhibits at conventions, exhibits, sales conferences, and/or symposia. Arranges for specific events at national conventions and may also participate in international conventions. Works with vendors to arrange space, literature, hotels, equipment rental, and set-up and dismantling of the exhibit. Plans and coordinates the routing of exhibits shipped for the convention program. Develops plans, budgets, and generates reports providing information on cost-per-contact, audience profiles, and representatives' comments. Works with marketing and sales departments on and show selection decisions. Remains current on new trends in exhibit design.
Job performance will normally require only minor lifting and carrying of boxes of records or equipment.
