The Marketing Analyst will be a key contributor to an internal culinary team focused on driving company Positive and FLNA Marketing business initiatives, including strategy support and implementation of recipe development and food styling, front-end exploration, and food service innovation projects that will elevate our brands and promote best-in-class culinary experiences for our consumers and customers.
Marketing Analyst Responsibilities:
  • Help deliver Foodservice Culinary innovation in Partnerships with Foodservice and Sales teams, from ideation to commercialization (including external collaborative working sessions, benchtop development, and conducting product reviews for senior leaders) for key company national account foodservice partners, including both product-as-ingredient and new platformable transformational innovation that maximizes brand growth.
  • Enhance and support long term 3+ year Whitespace Innovation pipeline solutions through front-end culinary innovation activities, including providing relevant culinary insight and inspiration, and developing gold standard culinary protocepts for exploration, consumer co-creation, refinement/iteration, product samplings, etc.
  • Create, develop, and write recipes for a variety of applications, providing new consumption occasion inspiration for consumers and expanding our brands into untapped dayparts and meal occasions.
  • Immerse in consumer insights and foresights to influence relevant culinary solutions for future category and culture shifts.
Marketing Analyst Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent certifications, plus 2-3 years of work experience required.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with ability to translate technical or culinary concepts into easily understood explanations.
  • Previous CPG and/or Agency Culinary Innovation experience, especially within a Marketing department or function, or equivalent work experience in an R&D kitchen or restaurant or commercial kitchen environment strongly preferred.
  • Possesses a variety of working culinary knowledge and skills (i.e., food handling and safety, cooking techniques, QSR/fast casual/casual dine foodservice, menu/recipe development, CPG/product development, etc.)
  • Strong project management skills and experience building strong and trusting relationships with cross-functional teams, external customers, and agency partners, etc.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (both strategic and applied culinary)
  • A strong understanding of consumer behavior and an ability to translate trends and insights into product ideas that uniquely satisfy unmet needs.
  • Ability to keep others inspired, engaged and accountable while delivering results flawlessly and on-time (with a sense of urgency).
  • Experience aligning with internal/external senior leadership and executing samplings.
  • A curiosity to learn about any and all parts of innovation (packaging, product, etc.) and the functions (R&D, operations, supply, etc.) that go into turning concepts into products.
