HR Generalist
Ames, IA
$26-30/HR
HR Generalist will support managers in onboarding and offboarding activities, in data management, leave management, analytic reporting and employee programs & communications.
HR Generalist Responsibilities:
- Handle all recruiting initiatives; conduct intake meetings, post open positions on available job boards, source resumes, screen, and interview candidates, conduct due diligence and prepare offer letters.
- Onboard and conduct new hire orientation
- Manage Workers’ Compensation as needed in conjunction with EHS
- Answer daily questions regarding benefits, payroll, and company policies.
- Assists managers with employee corrective action forms, performance improvement plans and other performance and disciplinary issues.
- Maintain employee records
- Facilitate performance planning and talent reviews
- Work with managers to determine employee training and development needs
HR Generalist Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience
- At least 3 years in the HR function reporting directly to an HR professional
- At least 3 years in the HR function reporting directly to an HR professional
- Office 365 Suite including intermediate level using Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Self-starter that is proactive with a solution-oriented attitude
- Proven ability to handle confidential information
- Experience in prioritizing competing requests and deadlines
- Experience working in an HRIS system preferred
