 Financial Analyst

Ames, IA

Financial Analyst will be responsible for generating monthly performance reports, lease and finance equipment reconciliations, management of financial databases, creation of business tools, and support of budgeting and forecasting requirements.

 

Financial Analyst Responsibilities:

·        Conduct reporting and analysis that include sales, margin, fixed costs, production, and inventory

·        Track, analyze, and reconcile equipment related transactions.  This includes leased and financed equipment reconciliations, and tech service billings and expense analysis.

·        Participate in month end accounting close process and month end reporting.

·        Accounts payable troubleshooting and assistance

·        Support for sales team, including monthly cost center reports and spending analysis

·        Develop, analyze and present company financial performance by identifying significant trends and highlighting issues for management attention, facilitating the decision making and corrective action process.

·        Participate in planning and preparation of annual budgeting process.

 

Financial Analyst Requirements:

·        Minimum BS degree in Finance or Accounting

·        Three to five years’ experience with general ledger analysis and reconciliations

·        Demonstrated progression of increased responsibility

·        High competency in researching issues and arriving at logical well documented analysis

·        Effective verbal communicator with both financial and non-financial individuals

·        Ability to present information effectively and professionally

·        High competency in technical accounting concepts

·        Detail oriented with high math accuracy competence

·        Very strong pc skills including Excel and PowerPoint

·        SAP experience a plus
