Position Summary & Duties: This is a 6+ month contract opportunity working with a client in the Pulp and Paper industry located in the Pine Bluff, AR. area.
Process Control Engineer Job Description:
Position is responsible for developing a scope and project timeline, assisting in the bid process, and managing contractors for predominately electrical projects. Also lead projects supporting one paper machine, power and recovery, and fiber process which includes secondary fiber. Perform as a team member of various project teams where capital improvements have been identified against specific business issues. Also serve as a coordinator or clearing house of ideas for improvement techniques and implementation strategies.
Process Control Engineer Job Function:
Job functions include, but are not limited to the following:
•Manage electrical projects from initial assignment to final close-out
•Analyze product or equipment specifications and performance requirements to determine optimum solution
•Coordinate manufacturing or building of machine improvements and/or plant systems.
•Also work with maintenance to troubleshoot electrical/automation problems.
•Research and analyze design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications.
•Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.
•Research, design, evaluate and install electrical products, equipment, systems and processes to meet requirements, applying knowledge of engineering principles.

Qualifications: Process Control Engineer Job Requirements:
BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE:
•3 years manufacturing experience in heavy industry with paper manufacturing experience preferred.
•2 - 3 years capital project management experience.
•Project management and leadership skills.
•Technical training at various levels of the organization.
•Knowledge of Honeywell TDC 3000 DCS and Rockwell PLC's is required.
EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE:
• BS degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
•Excellent written and oral communication skills.
•Solid planning, leadership, and administrative skills.
•Proven experience in process improvement and project management skills.
•Sap experience preferred.
•Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
•Critical thinker, with excellent analytical abilities.
•Design skills, presenting technical information, equipment maintenance.
•Excellent team skills - as team member and trainer and developer.
•Must be able to manage multiple, complex tasks and deal easily with pressure on a day in and day out basis.
•Must have good attention to details, but be able to manage the big picture and have a "make the numbers" mentality.
