Customer Service Insurance Representative
Humera is looking for multiple Customer Service Insurance Representatives for our client, a major health insurance provider, in Minnetonka, MN. This position is responsible for managing, identifying, researching, and resolving concerns and issues from members and all other internal and external customers.
The Customer Service Insurance Representative is a primary contact for members to resolve service problems for claims, enrollment, billing, pharmacy as well as interpreting contracts and explaining benefits. As a Customer Service Insurance Representative you will be responsible for exceptional levels of service satisfaction, providing quality service, and the service recovery process. The service recovery process is critical to the success of the department and directly impacts member satisfaction and retention.
The Customer Service Insurance Representatives typically interact with a number of external (pharmacy benefits managers, behavioral health and dental providers) and internal customers (employees in medical management, enrollment, billing, claims, sales/marketing and legal).
This is a long-term contract opportunity with the potential to be hired on.
+ Identifies, researches and resolves member and all other
internal and external customer concerns, problems and issues in a
timely and courteous manner
+ 90% answering inbound calls
+ 10% research and follow-up of unresolved calls
+ Associate's degree or equivalent work experience required. Bachelor's degree preferred
+ 1-2 years customer service experience face to face or over the phone
+ Willingness to support and help a team and share knowledge
+ Advanced ability to multi task and manage time efficiently
+ An ability to identify process improvements, provide mentor and peer feedback and develop knowledge of multiple products and platforms
+ Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and respond well to a rapidly changing industry and operational environment
+ Ability to calmly and effectively handle escalated calls
+ 5 weeks of training. Hours are (8:00am - 5:00pm) for training with a 1 hour lunch
+ Attendance is REQUIRED
+ 9:00 am to 12:00 Noon Start times available.
+ During Open Enrollment - Saturdays from 8am - 4:30pm on a voluntary basis
