Security Policy Lead
Executive 1 Holding Company, LLC (together with its subsidiaries, EX1), located in McLean VA, is looking for an individual who is passionate about security and compliance; possesses a broad understanding of Government control frameworks; and has the technical acumen to provide a hands-on approach in guiding EX1’s security practices. This position will be comprised of two main roles: the FSO (*or assistant FSO) and Compliance Specialist.
This individual will manage all aspects of EX1’s Security and Compliance activities to include creating and maintaining all policies and procedures for EX1 (document control), implementation of policies (in coordination with various departments), personnel security, CUI, assessments and audits, and annual training and briefings.
The FSO will provide security oversight for EX1 in accordance with Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA), National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), and other agency specific regulations.
The role includes, but is not limited to:
- DISS Management – Ensure the Defense Information System for Security (DISS) is updated, including processing and maintaining personnel security clearances, foreign travel and visit requests.
- Monitor and maintain the Insider Threat Program (ITP).
- Investigate and report security violations and incidents.
- Maintain security documentation and files appropriately.
- Upload change conditions in the National Industrial Security System (NISS).
- Security Awareness Training and Education—Provide security training and briefings.
- Review, respond to, and process all security paperwork for accuracy, completion, compliance, and submission through various systems.
- Conduct annual self-inspections and reviews of Compliance and Security Policies and Procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws.
- Oversee closeouts for all classified projects.
- Oversight of company Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) processes and compliance.
- Coordinate with Contracts to ensure all DD254 requirements are met.
The Compliance Specialist will assist with the implementation, development, oversight, and monitoring of EX1’s compliance program. The role includes, but is not limited to:
- Develop and maintain all EX1 security policies and procedures required to achieve and maintain government compliance. Frameworks include (among others): NIST, FedRAMP, ISO, CMMI, and CMMC, etc.
- Ensure compliance by regularly conducting internal audits to track adherence and perform gap assessments to track compliance readiness.
- Ensure all EX1 frameworks are compliant and up to date in Hyperproof tool.
- Oversee both internal and external compliance related assessments and audits.
- Develop and maintain remediation plans as necessary.
- Investigate, document, and submit potential violations to regulatory organizations and ensure they are tracked for timely resolution and fully documented in auditable records.
- Implement changes to compliance processes due to new or amended regulations.
- Ensure all staff are trained annually on any compliance requirements and improvements.
- Liaise with external audit firms for obtaining certifications.
Skills Required:
- Excellent organizational and communications skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to effectively interact with staff and customers at all levels.
- Prior experience as FSO (or an Assistant FSO) preferred.
- Should have a solid understanding of industrial security and NISPOM requirements and be familiar with working in a government contractor environment.
- Proficiency with systems used: MS Office suite, Paycom, Hyperproof, Adobe, KnowB4, NISS, DISS, PIEE, NCAIS, E-QUIP, SWFT and other related DoD Security Systems.
- Understanding of Regulatory Guidelines and Security Policies.
Required Qualifications:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen, Active DoD Top Secret Clearance (OR must be SCI Eligible).
· Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in a related field or a combination of education and relevant experience.
