Opportunity Description
Our client is a well known and stable firm that is looking to add a Bookkeeper to their team. The ideal candidate will have experience using QuickBooks, have strong organization skills and be able to balance competing deadlines with various ad hoc administrative tasks.
Job Duties
Update monthly, quarterly and/or annual activity using QuickBooks software
Process Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable invoices
Communicate with Vendors to reconcile discrepancies when needed
Prepare monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
Prepare and record adjusting journal entries to QuickBooks
Prepare and file monthly, quarterly and annual sales tax returns for multiple states
Prepare and file quarterly and annual payroll tax returns for multiple states
Excellent organizational, analytical, project management and communication skills for all tasks assigned
Various ad hoc administrative/office manager responsibilities as they arise
Experience & Skills Required
Associate’s degree or relevant accounting/bookkeeping certification preferred
5+ years of recent Bookkeeping experience using QuickBooks
Comfortable working in an autonomous role
Comfortable with multi-tasking – managing competing deadlines and various ad hoc administrative responsibilities
