Workforce Management Coordinator/Trainer

HumanTouch is looking for a Senior Trainer to lead our IT Help Desk BPA employee development and workforce management initiatives, through hosting of creative training events and educational programs.

Responsibilities

The Training and Workforce Management Coordinator will:

  • Communicate with the Program Manager and Project Managers to identify training and workforce management needs
  • Manage, design, develop, coordinate and conduct all training programs and educational documentation
  • Map out training plans for management and customer support
  • Design and develop training programs (outsourced and/or in-house)
  • Select appropriate training methods or activities (e.g. simulations, mentoring, on-the-job training, professional development classes)
  • Market available training to employees and provide necessary information about sessions
  • Conduct BPA-wide training needs assessment and identify skills or knowledge gaps that need to be addressed
  • Use known education principles and stay up-to-date on new training methods and techniques
  • Design, prepare, create and order educational aids and materials
  • Assess instructional effectiveness and determine the impact of training on employee skills and KPIs
  • Gather feedback from trainers and trainees after each educational session
  • Partner with project stakeholders and liaise with training experts regarding instructional design
  • Maintain updated curriculum database and training records
  • Host train-the-trainer sessions for internal subject matter experts (SMEs)
  • Manage and maintain in-house training facilities and equipment
  • Research and recommend new training methods
  • Track employee certifications and expiration dates
  • Assist employees in preparing for certification exams

Work Experience Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a Training Coordinator, Trainer, Technical Writer or similar role
  • In depth knowledge of IT Help Desk and Deskside Services environments
  • Hands-on experience coordinating multiple training events in a technical setting
  • Experience working, managing, or providing training in a customer service oriented environment
  • Experience scheduling in an IT environment using workforce management best practices
  • Knowledge of instructional design theory and implementation
  • Adequate knowledge of learning management systems and web delivery tools
  • Familiarity with traditional and modern job training methods and techniques
  • Experience with e-learning platforms
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Advanced organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Other Requirements

  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Ability to gain a Public Trust clearance

Additional Education, Certifications, or Experience Preferred:

  • Undergraduate degree in Education, Training, Writing or related field
  • CompTIA A+ certification
  • ITIL Foundations or higher certification
  • Experience working as a federal contractor or employee
