Our family owned distribution company in Elgin, IL is looking for an Administrative Assistant/Receptionist to run the day to day operations of our business and support our sales team. An ideal candidate takes initiative and has outstanding administrative, organizational and time management skills. We are looking for a positive, motivated individual who can offer experience to a fast-growing company, someone who communicates positively and effectively, performs with a high degree of accuracy, and meets challenges with an enthusiastic optimistic attitude.

Administrative Assistant/Receptionist Responsibilities:

  • Greet clients, visitors and vendors as well as direct calls
  • Assist the sales department with projects as needed
  • Manage inventory of office supplies and display products
  • Prepare reports and invoices
  • Performs special projects as assigned
  • Assist with preparation of board materials including creating, revising, photocopying and assimilating documents
  • Additional duties as assigned

Administrative Assistant/Receptionist Skills and Qualifications:

  • At least 1-2 years’ of experience as an administrative assistant or sales assistant
  • Excellent telephone and customer relations skills
  • Outstanding organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize to ensure deadlines are met in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility and professional demeanor
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Personable, reliable, and able to work as a team, or independently
