File Clerk / Trial Assistant

Well established Orange County Law firm is looking for the ideal person to join our team as a Trial Assistant/File Clerk. The ideal candidate should have a strong work ethic. Daily duties will include checking of the daily court docket and court filings. In addition, the candidate will also assist with multiple general office tasks including filing, faxing, scanning, and copying. Candidate must also be able to lift and transport BOXES WEIGHING 50 lbs., UP AND DOWN staircases. Must be willing to assist in some general labor including building maintenance. File records away in alphabetical or numerical order.
Use scanners to convert forms and reports into electronic format.
Organize legal documents using a file organization system.
Create labels and indexes with meticulous attention to detail.
Create new entries as needed.
Fax and photocopy files.
Provide back up support to Partner's Administrative Assistant.
Provide back up support to Receptionist for vacations as well as provide assistance in general administrative duties.
Maintain a positive and pleasant attitude as our firm is very busy.
Extraordinary customer service skills with clients.
Willingness to learn.
Professional appearance at all times and ability to master numerous task at once.

High School Diploma
Previous experience in the legal industry preferred.

Weekly Hours:
Monday through Friday, hours depend on court requirements. Must be flexible with starting and ending hours.
