  • What you can expect:

    As a Facilities Technician, you will be responsible for environmental services and the general maintenance of all Howard Brown equipment, buildings, and grounds. In addition, you will ensure Howard Brown upholds regulatory compliance measures and Life Safety building standards.

    As a member of our Facilities Team, you will be providing safe and clean spaces for underserved communities, which is at the heart of our mission!

    How you will make an impact:

  • General cleaning and maintenance of the interior and exterior of facilities; including ground keeping & snow removal.
  • Perform regular site inspections and notify manager and director of major repairs
  • Support office relocation moves, furniture dissembling /assembling and setting up
  • Perform minor repairs, such as replacing light bulbs, filters and plumbing (toilet clogs, drainage cleaning and faucet/valves repair).
  • Inspect and maintain mechanical & facility equipment & HBH tools for proper preventive maintenance measures.
  • Maintain supplies and perform inventory procedures at all buildings.
  • Perform special projects for all Howard Brown Health locations.
  • Assist with daily mail and deliveries/pickup for satellite locations
  • Continuously walk facilities to ensure a safe and clean environment for our team and patients
  • Follow proper infection control policies.
  • Oversee preventative maintenance programs to support the following: Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical, and Construction.
  • Provide superior customer service by pro-actively interacting and communicating with staff.

    What you will bring to Howard Brown Health

    Minimum Qualification:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3 years previous facility maintenance experience and a good understanding of preventative maintenance practices.
  • Able to use healthcare-grade cleaning equipment and work safely with a variety of cleaning supplies.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs and use proper lifting techniques. Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing and safely use ladders.
  • Have a vehicle and able to drive to locations on a daily basis and a clean driving record.
  • Preferred:

  • Prior professional experience with maintaining HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical systems.
  • Versed in healthcare-related building compliance measures including life safety protocols.
  • Working conditions:

  • Shared working space.
  • Weekly schedule to include day, evening and weekend hours.
  • Use of ladders and step stools.
  • Working outdoors in all weather conditions.
