Job Description

The Healthcare Solutions Consultant role has two primary job duties: 1) collaborate with the Hoverstate sales team as the healthcare subject matter expert when speaking with potential healthcare clients, and 2) utilize their network in the healthcare industry to bring new clients to Hoverstate. This position will primarily focus on business development in the healthcare space and bring their expertise in digital transformation to our potential and current clients. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with excellent time-management and problem-solving abilities who thrives in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Proactively work on business development in the healthcare space to bring new healthcare clients to Hoverstate
  • Partner with the sales team to be the healthcare subject matter expert during pitches and presales
  • Ensure potential healthcare clients understand the value Hoverstate can bring to their business with our customer-focused approach to delivering the most innovative software solutions
  • Deeply understand, and be able to communicate to clients, the value Hoverstate brings with our in house development, design, data, quality, and product experts, in addition to the partnerships we’ve developed with Pega and Snowflake
  • Collaborate with internal teams of developers, product managers, project managers, ux designers, and data scientists to support application development and provide expertise in healthcare end user needs
  • Mentor & train internal teams on the ins and outs of healthcare
  • The successful candidate must not be subject to employment restrictions from a former employer (such as a non-compete) that would prevent the candidate from performing the job responsibilities as described.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Medical Degree
  • 10+ years experience in a provider setting
  • Extensive experience with health plan products & benefits
  • Demonstrated experience building business relationships
  • Strong emotional intelligence, clear communication skills, team over self attitude, and proven problem-solving abilities
  • Experience translating business to technical requirements and back
  • Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Excellent presentation skills
