Behavioral Health Technician Supervisor

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be COVID vaccinated

Two years of education in related field, AND/OR two years of work experience in related field to include: basic understanding of sociology, psychology, counseling or other related disciplines. Preferred two years of supervisory experience in a similar environment. Lived experience helpful in this role. Must be available to work during non-traditional hours. Valid Nebraska driver's license and good driving record. Minimum age, 21.

Knowledge of substance use, mental health conditions, and various recover methods; effectively work with consumers with substance use and related health disorders; possess effective interpersonal and writing skills adequate for thorough documentation in a clinical setting. Must be eligible to become Med aid certified.

Physical requirements: Must be able to: ascent/descend stairs while transporting 25 lbs.; position self by stooping, crouching, kneeling; stand, sit and walk for lenghy periods of time; position items up to 50lbs by pushing, pulling, and/or lifting; effectively use senses of smell, touch, speech, hearing, and sight.

Job Overview:

Provide leadership and supervision to all Technician Staff in the program. Facilitating the lived experience of individuals in service to create a welcoming, safe, clean, and healthy environment focused on recovery from substance use and mental health issues. Working independently on assigned duties and cooperatively within the multi-disciplinary treatment team. Openly communicating with supervisor and other staff on all issues related to individuals in service.
