Social Media and Content Specialist

As our Social Media & Content Specialist, you will be accountable for the ongoing management and growth of House of Wu’s social media presence while maintaining brand voice and identity in alignment with business strategies and direction. We are seeking a creative, self-starting individual with strong social media experience to evolve the presence through the development of all organic social channels through engaging and compelling content. Equal parts creator, communicator, and analyst, this person will be responsible for driving the overall social media content across organic channels, managing the weekly content calendar, identifying social trends, & owning community management in the formal wear industry. This will include the coordination and management of all aspects of Markets (Trade Shows), Previews, Photo Shoots, and Sales Promotions.
Essential Duties:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop marketing and communication plans that leverage the social media space; own the strategy and the execution of the ideas.
Develop, define, and produce social-first content that drives engagement and growth across owned and earned social channels. This should include photos, videos, pins, user generated content, blog posts, status updates, pins.
Manage social media reporting, analyzing trends and drawing insights from various data sources.
Work with the Marketing team to help define the strategy and ongoing optimization of social media channels.
Partner with key stakeholders to track and report on business KPIs for monthly and quarterly reporting with a focus on actionable insights.
Monitor SEO trends and user engagement to help go after new audiences.
Assist in developing playbooks and toolkits leveraging best community management practices to help increase engagement and brand loyalty.
Identify and incorporate key trends and timely messaging into brand’s content strategy.
Drive test-and-learn approach to new creative concepts and messaging strategy informed by customer, campaign, and channel-level data.
Remain current and educated on all platforms, emerging platforms, changes to platforms and advances in technology and algorithmic developments.
Other Duties:
Assist at photo shoots (twice per year) as Stylist.
Responsibilities to include:
Deciding on best accessories.
Ensuring the models' dresses are styled properly.
Directing poses for models.
Assist in selecting set backgrounds, finding props, and arranging each set.
Keep the Showroom, Studio, and Dressing Room clean and organized before, during, and after the photo shoots.
Knowledge & Skill Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, PR, Communication, or related field.
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience managing social media channels for a DTC fashion or luxury brand.
Experienced in making, editing, and producing content for social media.
Strong understanding of social media platforms with a strategic & editorial mindset with previous work-related experience with social media channels including Pinterest, Instagram, Tik Tok, Facebook, YouTube and LinkedIn. Portfolio preferred.
Experience interpreting data and utilizing social media analytics tools (Google Analytics preferred).
Intermediate graphic design experience and familiarity using Adobe Suite.
Excellent communication & project management skills with a positive, solution-oriented mindset.
Passionate about the social media landscape and building authentic social communities.
Ability to travel to Markets (Trade Shows), to include weekends.
Physical Requirements: Standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pulling, pushing, and reaching. The work may involve climbing ladders, using paint, and hand tools. Must be able to work inside and outside (for lifestyle photo shoots, in which weather conditions can vary).
Position will include working on weekends and special events that might take place after normal working hours (i.e., Previews, Fashion Shows, etc.). Position may require travel to attend Markets (Trade Shows), and on location photo shoots.
