The Role:
The Restaurant General Manager or Director of Restaurant Operations is responsible for all day-to-day operations of the House of Blues restaurant and bar. This individual will be responsible for leading and developing the restaurant team, providing a stellar guest experience, meeting or exceeding sales, profit, and marketing/social media expectations for a single unit.

What You'll Need:
+ Responsible Alcohol Awareness Training Certification or Equivalent
+ High school diploma
+ 5 Years of high-volume restaurant experience; similar casual dining environment experience preferred
+ Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive large team leadership experience
+ Previous experience with managing purchasing, receiving and inventories
+ Previous P&L responsibility and knowledge of accounting techniques
+ Proven experience/knowledge marketing a business; social media savvy

+ College Degree
+ TIPS certified or equivalent
+ Responsible Alcohol Service certification

Physical Demands/Working Environment:
+ Ability to lift 50 lbs. for liquor pulls, beer kegs, etc.
+ Environment is often fast paced, loud and stressful
+ Lifting and bending
+ Able to wear a radio earpiece during the scheduled shift
+ Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time

What You'll Do:
Team Member Recruitment, Training and Development:
+ Recruitment and Training of Department Managers and Supervisors
+ Conduct annual performance appraisals of Managers and Supervisors
+ Provide ongoing development of Managers and Supervisors
+ Conduct performance counseling and ensures Discipline/Termination procedures follow all House of Blues guidelines
+ Ensure conflict resolution procedures are followed
+ Maintain compliance with House of Blues workplace standards
+ Facilitate proper inter-departmental communication and organization
+ Assist and support team members in any of their job functions as needed

Ensuring Optimal Guest Experience
+ Maintain a positive and welcoming House of Blues atmosphere
+ Maintain all House of Blues guest service standards

Enhancing Revenue/Controlling Costs
+ Maintain systems for all cost controls/inventories
+ Assist venue General Manager in annual budget/planning process and with development of Quarterly Operating Plans
+ Develop strategies to Generate/Enhance Revenue
+ Maintain controllable expenses and establish effective cost control systems

Ensure Environmental Quality and Ambiance
+ Food Safety & Sanitation standards are adhered to at the highest level
+ Ensure atmosphere is conducive to a quality experience (lighting, sound, room temperature, cleanliness, table maintenance, VIP seating, etc.)
+ Maintain standard operating procedures in all departments
+ Ensure applicable health and safety requirements are met or exceeded
