The Service Manger shall be responsible for overseeing the training and development of service technicians and installers as well as other related staff. Reports directly to the Service Operations Manager.
The service manager shall be a seasoned professional with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in the HVAC or similar industry.
Service Manager’s duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to, the following:
Manage and supervise technicians and installers on a day to day basis.
Troubleshoot for residential (service and new construction)
Support new construction with loads and manual J’s.
Maintain a well-trained team that is up to date on new technology, use of tools and materials properly and provide each customer with quality workmanship.
Supervise the managing and developing of the HVAC service technicians and related staff by assisting in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training and reviewing the performance of all employees.
Provide customers with price estimations for parts and labor; effectively estimate project hours for specific services and coordinate with team to shorten downtime.
Participate in building a positive service department with customer first attitude.
Assist in growing residential service capacity, both in the number of technicians and call volume.
Develop a formal training program for new hires and provide continuing education for experienced technicians.
Oversee warranty recovery and warranty related issues.
Conduct quarterly inventory for parts department and technician’s trucks.
Review part orders daily for accuracy.
