Job Description

The successful candidate will work closely with our injection molding customers and mold shops to develop relationships at all levels. He/she will be responsible for continuous evaluation of the market and identifying for new opportunities for growth. This position is a remote position and can be based anywhere in western Michigan and will be responsible for covering hot runner sales within the Midwest. The ideal candidate with have experience with hot runners or other injection molding tooling.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Establish and develop close business relationships, at multiple levels, with current and new potential customers and their end customers
  • Call prospective customers to qualify business opportunities and customer needs, and assess potential
  • Prepare and develop clear, precise customer presentations, explaining products and services
  • Assist customers by providing technical expertise and product information, while offering solutions and recommendations
  • Providing a high level of customer sales-related service
  • Respond to requests for assistance with problems
  • Work, cross-functionally, with global sales, engineering and manufacturing
  • Value sell advantages over competitors’ products and services
  • Attaining RFQs while following up on quotes, and closing sales
  • Communicate with management, through written reports, on customer needs, KPIs, problems, interests and activities
  • High focus on meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Attend trade shows and conventions, and travel to existing and prospective customers

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of hands-on technical exposure to Injection Molding/Mold making, and comfortable dealing with customers
  • Technically strong in the areas of tooling assembly, repair, troubleshooting, process optimization
  • Able to determine feasibility based on drawings supplied by customer, or information obtained from sales or application engineering
  • Ability to educate customers and offer additional tooling solutions and alternatives
  • Fluent with Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office Software
  • Results oriented and extremely self-organized
  • Ability to organize and follow up on multiple projects
  • Excellent communications skills written and verbal, time management and follow up skills required
  • Team-oriented with ability to work independently
