Have accounting or financial experience
Knowledge of Windows, WP, Excel, and Access, with particular emphasis as it relates to spreadsheet software, data searches, etc
EMR/ Medical/ Healthcare experience
A minimum of two to four years directly related work experience.
BA/BS in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field
Analyzes, maintains, and initiates financial transactions and the associated paperwork to ensure the appropriate processing of documents in the Department. Assists the Division Administrators with the daily financial operations of the department. Assists with annual budget development providing current expenses and estimating forthcoming targets. Performs financial forecasting, financial reporting, and oversight of accounting and payroll functions and auditing. Responsible for 3rd next available report, regular AAMC salary report, Health Care Company wRVU report, CFTE report, Bump report, charge lag report, co-pay report, KPS reporting, NRC picker report, Patient experience report, Rejection report, Unsigned notes report and the unspecified codes report for processing, monitoring and evaluating. Monitors and assists Division and Department Administrators in providing preliminary approval, and compliance with budget of all submitted expenses. Monitors status of all financial issues and provides back-up and follow-up on behalf of the Division and Department Administrators. This position will also be the main point of contact for all EMR related issues
Responsible for the departmental financial transactions. Reconciles financial documents to the CSR's to ensure credits and payments to the various cost centers. Reviews preparation of financial documents for processing such as Purchase Orders, Journal Vouchers, and CSR reports.
Reviews/analyzes financial documents and data for accuracy and completeness. Maintains current and archived files of financial transactions.
Completes periodic and ad hoc financial reports, according to internal requirements and external obligations.
Assists in planning, developing operation plans and budgets, including reporting/interpreting monthly and annual data for senior managers.
Maintains manual and automated accounting records for designated accounts and cost centers, by developing appropriate spreadsheets, journals, etc.
Responsible for developing, analyzing and forecasting reports for the division administrators and department administrators monthly.
Responsible for developing, analyzing and forecasting the Unspecified Codes Report for the division administrators and department administrators monthly.
Responsible for the coordination, maintenance and administration of the clinical records program according to the accepted record-keeping practices of the facility in compliance with state and federal regulations and the training and oversight of the Electronic Health Records.
Implementation and training of staff and physicians in the electronic medical records software throughout all of Departments clinical locations.
Serves as the liaison to Administrator and the Divisions, Hospital and University Finance Offices and outside vendors to provide timely processing of financial payments and documents.
Assists in developing and implementing policies and procedures designed to facilitate effective/efficient processing of financial documents.
Prepares cover memos and other correspondence as required. Designs filing system and ensures accuracy of all documents contained.
