Job Description

Hiring a Finance Accountant.  Position is Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for various accounting-related functions such as month-end closing procedures, fixed asset records and depreciation, grant accounting, and budgeting
  • Assists with annual audit and cost report schedules, insurance package renewal, IHA survey and other reporting requirements. 
  • Monitor finance programs and advise CFO on initiatives for effectiveness, efficiency and alignment to overall Horn Memorial Hospital objectives.
  •  Maintain the integrity of the general ledger data for accurate, timely financial reporting.


  • Education:  BA/BS degree in Business, Finance or Accounting is required.  CPA and/or MBA preferred.

Experience/Job Knowledge:

  • Experience: Prefer four or five years of experience in accounting in a health care setting, hospital experience preferred.  Must have advanced computer experience.
  • Job knowledge:  Must have knowledge of hospital accounting theories and practices, third party reimbursement and cost reports.
