NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE*: M-F 7am-3:30pm w/Lunch 11:30am-12pm

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Parts Room Clerk is responsible for receiving all inbound shipments, gathering parts for production, shipping all parts and job orders, monitoring inventory levels, and any other task deemed necessary by the appointed supervisor.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Effectively work with others to do what is necessary to assure effective execution, overall customer satisfaction, and performance to the schedule
- Procure parts for use in shop utilizing Job BOM Pick List and production schedule
- Operate lift/fork truck or pallet jack to move, convey, or hoist inbound and outbound shipments
- Visibly tag all larger incoming shipments with appropriate job numbers
- Palletize equipment and/or package parts orders as directed
- Apply proper shipping labels, packing lists, and bills of lading to outbound shipments for identification by customer
- Log job order shipments utilizing camera that must be properly saved to the server
- Comply with all safety standards regarding safety apparel and safety equipment
- Assist with yearly, physical, inventory
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Clean, organize, and maintain visibility within Parts Room and Warehouse area (Daily)

WORKING CONDITIONS
ENVIRONMENT:
- Operates within a professional office environment and production facility.
- The noise level in the production facilities and at job sites can vary
- Required to work around/near industrial metal equipment including machinery such as plasma table, hand plasma cutters, MIG welders, TIG welders, etc.
- Work site is an industrial facility with a dusty atmosphere (i.e. stainless steel, carbon steel and aluminum metal dust
- Subject to paint fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases or other atmospheric conditions
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL:
- Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and kneeling
- Frequent bending and stooping
- Frequently required to move about, use hands/fingers to operate office equipment, and communicate
- Frequently (several times per day) lift or move objects up to 25 lbs., regularly (daily) lift or move objects up to 50 lbs. and occasionally lift or move objects up to 75 lbs.
- Regular walking to retrieve parts within parts room and/or on production floor (150 ft walk, both directions, up to but not limited to 10 times a day)
- Occasional use of stairs to collaborate with engineering/production (up to but not limited to 5 times a day)
- Close visual acuity required to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data/figures; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts and/or operation of machines; using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts
- Visual acuity required to operate motor vehicles and /or heavy equipment
EQUIPMENT OPERATED:
- Constantly operate standard office equipment such as computers, calculators, phones, photocopiers, printers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
- Routinely use equipment associated with preparing items for shipment including, but not limited to:
- Miter saw
- Circular saw
- Reciprocating saw
- Pneumatic nail gun
- Staple gun
- Power drill
- Impact driver
- Etching machine
- Banding/strapping equipment
- Operation of forklifts and overhead cranes
- Use of barcode scanners to accurately track time spent on jobs
- Operation of company work trucks (infrequent)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED:
