The FP&A Senior Finance Analyst is a key associate at Hope Network whose primary responsibilities include:
This position has overall responsibility to manage the processes leading to accurate data collection, processing, modeling and analysis. The incumbent has the ability to see solutions in large data sets and the business mindset to convert insights into strategic opportunities for our company. This position will work closely with the Service Lines to support monthly reporting and implement high-quality, data-driven decisions. This position is responsible for the Consolidated Budget and the ERP system used to create the budget and any forecasts. This position should have a firm understanding of Accounting and AR/Revenue Management as well.

1. General Duties - Oversee the development and maintenance of data models, reporting, data automation, dashboards and performance metrics that support key business decisions. Oversee the design and delivery of reports and insights that analyze business functions and key operations and performance metrics. Ensure accuracy & consistency of data and deliverables of reporting with comprehensive Policies & Procedures.
2. Analytics & Reporting–See above. Work with the Service Lines to identify opportunities for growth based on analytics. Responsible for fiscal monitoring of all corporations on an ongoing basis and responsible for assisting in the development of action plans when departments have a negative variance from budgets. Analytical expert for the organization.
3. Analyze management of revenues, including budget vs. actual performance results, analysis reports for revenue, yield and payor mix, drill down reports, trend reports, problem exposure reports, etc. Assists revenue cycle leaders in working closely with service line leadership, providers, and others to investigate and support initiatives in order to improve revenue cycle metrics, reporting capabilities, and overall financial performance. Analysis of Aging accounts 120, 150 and 180 days outstanding.
4. Performs regular and ad-hoc support to the entire revenue management team, conducting analysis on a variety of accounts and reports and prioritize recommendations based on fiscal and volume impact
5. Budgeting - Responsible for the development of annual operating and capital budgets in collaboration with management staff. Assist Hope Network leadership in the annual budgeting and planning process; administer and review all financial plans and compare to actual results with a view to identify, explain, and correct variances as appropriate.
6. Strategic Planning & Quality – Assist with development of the strategic & annual plans for the corporation within the areas assigned.
7. Business Plans / Financial Proformas - Prepare and/or assist management in preparing financial proformas and special budgets for new programs and projects. Work collaboratively to produce proformas; review and approve all SL proformas. Anticipate future demands of initiatives related to people, technology, budget and business design.
8. Reporting of Financial Information - Present financial information at various meetings both internally and externally as requested. Consistently analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; monitor progress and changes and keep senior leadership abreast of Hope Network’s financial status. Work collaboratively with the Accounting, Revenue Management and other departments as needed.

Educational / Talent Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting required; MBA or Masters in Finance or Accounting, CPA and/or CMA certification preferred.
2. Extensive knowledge of business and financial planning as it relates to all aspects of the healthcare service industry; healthcare terminology; knowledge of financial analysis with physician and hospital claims and familiarity with professional fee reimbursement; financial and legal due diligence processes; financial modeling, budget processes and procedures. Experience working with and creating databases and dashboards using all relevant data to inform decisions.
3. Advanced Excel skills required.
4. Understanding of and experience using analytical concepts and statistical techniques: hypothesis development, designing tests/experiments, analyzing data, drawing conclusions, and developing actionable recommendations for business units. Ability to suggest creative ideas that generate additional revenues and/or produce cost savings. Keen analytic, organization, and problem-solving skills, which allow for strategic data interpretation versus simple reporting.
5. Superior ability to verbally and in writing communicate ideas clearly with all staff levels. Experience in effectively communicating key data. Also, the ability to translate complex financial concepts to individuals at all levels including finance and non-finance managers.
6. Ability to research accounting treatments in a Non Profit environment, and understanding of accounting operations in a Non Profit environment.
7. Preferred knowledge of payer contracts, contractuals, commercial and government health insurance.
8. Experience and ability to provide outstanding customer service.
9. Candidate should demonstrate a significant understanding of Financial & ERP software, such as Adaptive (Workday Planning), and should be technology savvy with experience in software installations; advanced knowledge of accounting and reporting software.

Work Experience Requirements:
1. 5 to 7 years minimum in Accounting, Business, or Finance related fields.
2. Solid experience coordinating analytics and managing reporting, budget development and analysis of all types.
