Directs all production activities including supervision of department supervisors engaged in manufacturing, transferring, treating, loading, unloading, storing, and distribution of treated wood products. Maintain environmental and safety compliance at all times.
Ensure safety and environmental compliance is the number one priority.
Ensure quality is maintained during the production process.
Ensure all yard activities are accomplished in a safe and efficient manner.
Manage inventory to achieve company goals.
Directly supervise the production schedulers, production coordinators, quality control technicians, maintenance managers, and shipping and receiving clerks.
Manage budget efficiently and closely monitor labor costs.
Closely monitor maintenance responsibilities and projects.
Review performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing improvement.
Maintain productivity standards for all areas of processing.
Prioritize time and efforts to meet Hoover’s revenue and profitability goals.
Analyze production processes to determine ways to increase efficiencies and reduce expenses.
Work with various departments of Hoover Treated Wood Products including sales, Research, Engineering, and Development, and Corporate personnel to ensure compliance with company policies and production standards.
Carry out supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, and evaluating employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Maintain and enhance the facility by constantly making noticeable improvements.
Ensure all reporting is done in a timely manner and deadlines are met.
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor degree required and/or a combination of five to ten years related education and experience.
Must have prior wood industry experience
Must be willing to relocate
Prior experience with OSHA and EPA regulations preferred.
Ability to accept responsibility and accountability for his/her actions.
