Position Summary:

The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for delivering all facets of recruiting success throughout the organization, with a strong focus on Diesel Mechanics at all levels. This will be achieved through the development of recruiting plans, generating sourcing strategies, advising hiring managers, being a resource as well as developing new, creative recruiting ideas. The Human Resources Recruiter will play a critical role in ensuring we are hiring the best possible talent.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Establishes recruiting requirements by studying organization plans and objectives; reaching out to hiring managers to discuss needs.
  • Builds applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, recruiters, media, and internet sites; providing organization information, opportunities, and benefits; maintaining rapport.
  • Work with hiring managers on a bi-weekly/monthly to ensure they are processing candidates appropriately through Paylocity (including but not limited to hiring, interviewing, rejecting, and screening)
  • Utilize the Internet for recruitment.
    • Post positions to appropriate Internet sources.
    • Improve the company website recruiting page to assist in recruiting.
    • Research new ways of using the Internet for recruitment.
    • Use social and professional networking sites to identify and source candidates.
  • Determines applicant requirements by studying job description and job qualifications.
  • Determines applicant qualifications by interviewing applicants; analyzing responses; verifying references; comparing qualifications to job requirements.
  • Arranges management interviews by coordinating schedules; arranges travel, lodging, and meals; escorting applicant to interviews as needed.
  • Conducts pre-screen interviews; Evaluates applicants by discussing job requirements and applicant qualifications with managers; interviewing applicants on consistent set of qualifications.
  • Assist in creation of job descriptions for new positions.
  • Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting.
  • Build networks to find qualified passive candidates.
  • Communicate with managers and employees regularly to establish rapport, and source new candidate leads.
  • Create job offers and follow through pre-employment requirements to determine start date.
  • Assist in preparing and sending new employee orientation packets.
  • Attends job fairs.
  • Finds opportunities within the four states for generating interest in Diesel Mechanic careers.
  • Administrative duties and recordkeeping.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Requirements:

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years' experience, additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Confidential, professional and results driven.
  • Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, self-motivations and communication skills required.
  • Excellent verbal, social and written communication skills
  • Computer and application systems skills required.
  • Demonstrates proficiency on all standard office equipment.
Compensation:

Salary range: $67,000-$75,000
