Support development and implementation of the sourcing strategies to achieve lowest total costs, improve working capital, drive effective asset management, achieve quality improvement, ensure on-time delivery, improve cycle time, and ensure early supplier involvement in product development.

Responsibilities:

•Lead cross-functional global teams to achieve objectives; Play active role in resolving critical quality and delivery issues with suppliers. (Comprehensive ownership of supplier performance.
•Manage direct engagement with suppliers and internal functional teams globally to drive implementation of the supply strategy and ensure success of the supply chain.
•Support development and implementation of plans with cross functional partners to meet annual goals which includes supplier strategy, productivity/cost-reduction, lead-time reductions, consignment/Kan-ban implementation, working capital improvement, supplier quality.
•Support NPI mechanical team requirements
•Implement/use all their expertise in SAP to meet all the Strategic & Purchasing Requirements of HON.
•Be a Strong negotiator by reviewing and improving Prices with vendors, to increase the Working Capital for HON.
•Be a point of Escalation for submitting and executing permanent Price Increases and Spot Buys.
•Review and negotiate Improvements of: Lead Time with suppliers, Safety Stocks, MOQ’s, and put them in the contracts.
•Productivity Deck Projects.
•Analyze and negotiate better Payment Terms & Lead Time with vendors, to increase the Working Capital for HON.
•Help to the SBG in the Solving of Invoicing resolutions, but also make proposals and ideas to prevent, and establish MOS of it.
•E-Auction Deck Variance Tracker, and Identify potential e-Auction opportunities.
•3PL Implementation.
•AVSF / Creation.
•Award Projects for new suppliers.
•Create PIR’s and change PIR’s.
•Formulating Strategy.
•VMI Implementation.
•New supplier setups in SAP.
•Review Purchase History, RFQ activity and APSL to determine potential source(s) of supply to quote.
•Ensure suppliers have all required HON inputs to fully respond the RFQ.
•Collaborate with sourcing to add off-contract parts to contract, as applicable, to increase contract penetration (POPA, Purchase Order Price, Agreement, process).
•Manage PPV and drive vendor year to year productivity.
•Demonstrate most of the HON Behaviors on the Daily Work.
•Train a local member of GPS Mexico to make a Backup in an event of absenteeism, vacation, or retire in a tactical and operational way. Preserving team service level as primary objective and minimizing impact to customer and stakeholders.
•Be the single point of contact with the Stake holders and their peers at the facilities they provide Purchasing Service.

MUST HAVE

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, supply chain, purchasing or operations or related discipline
• 5 to 8 years of experience. Professional on strategic sourcing, supply chain and procurement, working with Direct and Indirect materials for an OEM Industrial manufacturer, connected with a global or international organizational environment.
• Excellent communication skills, fluently communicate on English, as role will be required to liaise with Stakeholders, Peers and leaders for the area.
• Experience in dealing with ERPs SAP preferable, experience in dealing with web based tools and should be comfortable with working on various reporting tools.
• Strong computer skills Ms. Software related, proficient on excel is highly desirable, create statistics analysis to suggest Initiatives of Improvements.
• Strong and demonstrated procurement experience for Direct Purchasing materials of next commodities: Electronics, plastics, stampings, hardware, metals, all of them related to HON business.
• Lead Saving Projects: VMI, Kanban, Reduction of LT’s, Safety Stocks, relocate materials, etc.
• Negotiation expertise, Self-motivated, Self-Driven & Innovative

• Experience in the following or similar industries: Controls, Industrial Equipment, Automotive
• Direct materials management experience for factories preferred
• Previous experience in global high-mix manufacturing business
• CIPS, APICs and/or CPM or equivalent certification preferred.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred.
• Experience in leading cross-functional and sourcing teams with an emphasis on emerging regions
• Demonstrated ability to manage / lead multiple projects and changing priorities

• Ability to make data-driven decisions
• Successful use of decision-making and analytical skills
