A Day In The Life of A Vice President Of Acquisitions

As our Vice President Of Acquisitions/M&A Integrations, you will lead the successful integrations of our acquisitions. The right person will be an experienced leader who excels in partnering and influencing in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This individual is operationally focused and experienced, with the skill to simultaneously lead cross-functional integration efforts while ensuring acquisition targets meet/exceed their objectives. You will also provide senior leadership and work closely with the HRG executive team, sellers, and internal cross-functional teams for financial models, due diligence and planning and executing a successful transition.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Provide program leadership for the successful integration of all acquisitions
  • Lead teams to create financial models to determine cash flow / profitability
  • Effectively managing key stakeholder engagement to gain buy-in and support for due diligence and integration activities and objectives
  • Serve as an active participant in due diligence of target acquisitions, gaining knowledge to lead the evaluation of key issues, transition challenges and development of post-close plans
  • Closely partner with HRG senior executives and workstream leaders to design integration strategies aligned with our financial / operating model
  • Provide feedback and concerns to the HRG deal team - including pricing, seller discussions and due diligence concerns
  • Leads functional plan development with all key disciplines to assess each individual acquisition and ensure all transition plans are created collaboratively
  • Ensure integration plan execution achieve end state, including transitioning and training staff, contracts/agreements, technology, accounting processes
  • Build, motivate, and inspire an M&A team that works closely with leaders to successfully plan and execute on all process milestones
  • Stay current in deal and integration thought leadership and best practices to maintain cutting-edge M&A integration capabilities
  • Own Acquisition governance, and manage decisions and progress reports for all stakeholders
  • Development of metrics to gauge progress and achievement of acquisition objectives and financial targets
  • Development of M&A playbook and continuous improvement of standard processes to ensure efficiency in acquisition integration with minimal impact to customer experience

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8+ years M&A integration experience
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, technology or related experience
  • Experience working in private equity backed company a plus
  • Knowledge of end-to-end business processes and demonstrated ability to facilitate complex and time sensitive decisions
  • Exceptional program management skills with demonstrated ability in complex environments
  • High level of operational focus and rigor
  • Strong judgment, leadership and influencing skills to complete work with accelerated time frames
  • Able to build and sustain strong relationships at multiple levels internally and with partners; high emotional intelligence and an ability to challenge and influence areas of the business will be critical
  • Property Management or Real Estate experience preferred
