Behavior Specialist

We are seeking a Behavior Specialist to join our team! You will provide ABA behavioral services in group or individual settings for a school setting.

Responsibilities:

• Establish open lines of communication for individuals with mental or emotional issues and autistic children
• Offer assistance to teachers and aids with students under your case
• Provide prevention-oriented therapy
• Implement and review treatment plans
• Collaborate with additional treatment team members.
• Report weekly to your supervisor (BCBA)
• Ensure all documentation is completed in a timely manner

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in mental health counseling or other related fields
• A bachelors in related fields
• RBT (preferred)
• Familiarity with the following strategies:

  2. Small group instructions

  3. Parent conferencing

  4. Reward system

  5. Peer matching

  6. Frequent breaks

  7. Positive verbal reinforcement

  8. Counselling

  9. Social skill counselling

  10. Prompting

  11. Modeling

  12. Redirecting

  13. Error correction

  14. Discrete trial

  15. Task analysis (role play games for money and time management skills)

  16. De-escalation techniques :

• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Ability to build rapport with clients
• Strong leadership qualities
