Human Resources Generalist - Healthcare Experience Preferred

We are a small management company overseeing the day to day activities of a small group of businesses which include home health care and adult foster care agencies.

This position manages the day-to-day operations and administration of the human resources policies, procedures, and programs, employee relations, training and development, benefits, compensation, recruitment as well as assisting and advising company managers about Human Resources issues. Tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for recruiting, staffing, offer letters and orientation
  • Payroll & payroll related tasks
  • Maintain all employee records, including vacation/PTO time, tax forms. I-9.
  • Manage all insurances for employees and companies, including claims.
  • Review and update all manuals and forms regularly.
  • Verify and maintain compliance with all state and federal agencies.
  • Reports and updates to the partners related to the department.
  • Compensation and benefits administration.
  • Maintain tracking of hire/term dates, number of employees, salary and title, changes in information (address, direct deposits, transit deductions, etc.)
  • Prepare internal meeting materials (agenda) including record meeting details.
  • Notify employees with memos, policy changes, warning letter, and promotion/demotion letters.
  • Handle employees performance evaluation-Check on eligibility for evaluation of employees. Arrange time for employees to take examination(s).
  • Evaluate/discuss with Operation Manager about employees' performance.
  • Annual Reporting

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of previous, similar HR experience.
  • Candidates must possess strong interpersonal, communication, and writing skills.
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Have reliable transportation
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Certification is preferred
  • Spanish speaking is a plus

  • Payroll: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Recruiting: 3 years (Preferred)
  • Human Resources: 4 years (Preferred)
  • HR Experience in Healthcare: 2 years (Preferred)

Education:

  • Bachelor or Relevant Certification (Preferred)

Language:

  • Spanish speaking is a plus
