Certified Homecare Consulting is looking for an Experienced Policy Writer for Home Health Care, Home Care, and Hospice.

Position Summary:

The Policy Specialist/Writer works with our Clinical Nursing department to develop Home Health, Hospice, and Medicaid program policy and procedure manuals. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills and be able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Qualified candidates will have at least two years of direct policy writing experience, as well as experience with customer service. Position duties include creating and customizing policy and procedure manuals for clients, taking inbound phone calls, data entry, policy orientation with clients, and taking a genuine interest in our client’s success!

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and/or editing documents which may be complex and require significant policy research, including researching and ensuring compliance with various federal and state regulations and accrediting standards
  • Supporting project management duties, including preparing and presenting written status reports for clients
  • Writing and/or editing a variety of policies and procedures
  • Creating documents for consumption by a variety of clients in multiple states
  • Conduct follow-up, via telephone, email and/or additional meetings to assist in moving policies and procedures forward through the development process.
  • Conduct research and review applicable laws, regulations and state licensing standards for individual clients
  • Provide technical assistance to clients and company staff, by reviewing documents and existing document templates

Qualifications:

· A minimum of two years of policy writing experience

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Office 365

· Excellent customer service skills

· Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently

· Strong attention to detail

· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university preferred; Associates degree with relevant experience will be considered
