Description The major and the most important job of an assistant is to help and provide support to the office or department within the administrative field. Generally, it is said the job of an assistant is to assist the functions of the organizations' administrator, but this is not true. The assistant also possesses a great number of individual functions as specified by the institution and as met by their qualifications. Primary Objectives of the Administrative Assistant As assistant it is your objective to help the Administrator achieve these objectives while carrying out and attaining the mission and goals of the agency. Health and safety and development of the workforce Maintain the work structure by updating job requirements & descriptions Establishing & maintain recruiting, testing, & interviewing programs to increase the workforce Direct & supervise additional office staff to maintain Human Resources supportive material Development of an employee-oriented company culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, key employee retention and development, and high performance Personal ongoing development Primary responsibilities of Administrative Assistant, are as follows but not limited to: Human resources Assist the Administration in planning and directing the operation and fiscal health of the agency Responsible to assist in the compliance of all policies and procedures making sure that all policies and procedures are being followed Assist the administration making sure all payroll, accounts receivable and accounts payable are handled properly, investigates discrepancies as directed by the Administration or the Governing Board of Directors Liaison between staff and the Administrator Social Services Assist with social work as defined, the interaction between people and the institutions of society Assure social interactions are successful to aide patients to accomplish life tasks without distress To make and follow referrals that link patients with resources, services, and opportunities as needed Assisting patients with forms as needed Liaison between staff and the Administrator Outreach and Public Relations To organize, attend and/or participate in special events and promotions advocating positive relationships within the community on behalf of the agency. Serve as a spokesperson with prepared statements for the agency at meetings, special events and with the media Assist in developing and implementing outreach and markings activities, campaigns, and strategies to promote the Agency Maintain effective relationships with local, state, and federal agencies, employers, and other parties that have been developed in the past and pursue new contacts Assist to assure positive service delivery and closure on all referrals Liaison between the public and the Administrator Perform any other duties assigned by the Administrator The ideal candidate will be a self-assured outgoing, articulate person who does well with change. Who has organization and innovative reasoning skills. The administrative assistant reports to the Administrator. This is a hourly position, salaries vary with education, experience, and condition of placement at the time of contracting employment. Bonus/Commission: No
