The Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral of Columbia, SC, is seeking a full-time Office Administrator.
- Answers phone calls. Welcomes visitors and parishioners in a courteous manner, and opens sanctuary upon request.
- Provides administrative support to staff. Handles and prepares correspondence and mailings. Receives and acknowledges memorial gifts. Generates reports and PowerPoint presentations upon request.
- Maintains the church’s ACS database with current information. Generates quarterly and year-end statements from the system and mails them to parishioners.
- Uses ACS database to send funeral announcements and other information/announcements to designated groups within the Cathedral membership/database.
- Assembles necessary information and prepares liturgical guides for church services.
- Assists in organizing, editing, and publishing the church’s monthly bulletin, and prepares it for distribution.
- Prepares materials for meetings and church events.
- Maintains the church’s web page.
- Receives and coordinates requests for use and rental of facilities. Maintains calendar of church activities.
- Assists with scheduling sacraments and house blessings.
- Assists with matters related to the annual Greek Festival.
- Orders supplies and other items for the church, and serves as point of contact for individuals making deliveries.
- Schedules repairs for facilities as necessary.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND CERTIFICATION:
High school diploma and five (5) years of related experience. Must possess and be able to maintain a valid motor vehicle operator’s license. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint programs. Experience with ACS church management software preferred. Ability to operate all-in-one copier, fax and printer.
