Holcomb Behavioral Health Systems is seeking to hire a Substance Abuse Assessor
Position specifics: Full - Time and Part - Time
Location: Upper Darby, PA
Role Description: In this role the Substance Abuse Assessor will complete the drug and alcohol assessment process which includes face-to-face interviews with clients, assessment write-ups, processing funding requests and case management services related to client entry into treatment.
Responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to:
• Complete substance abuse assessments using PCPC/ASAM level of care placement criterion and assessment principles.
• Provide case consultation and professional documentation to contractual agencies.
• Identify funding sources and process funding requests as needed.
• Report to direct supervisor and administrative staff as required.
• Maintain a professional relationship with clients, payers, and community support representatives.
• Attend inter-agency meetings as requested by referring agency.
• Submit accurate and timely professional clinical documentation.
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in behavioral health field.
Minimum Experience: One year of experience in drug and alcohol assessment/treatment.
Required Clearances: Pennsylvania Child Abuse clearance, Criminal clearance, and fingerprint based federal criminal history; Verification that employee is not on any Medicaid/Medicare Exclusion list.

Holcomb offers a generous benefit package to all employees who work a minimum of 30 hours per week. Benefits are available the first day of a new month after completing 30 days of employment. Health insurance, including medical, dental, and vision are included. Paid holidays in addition to earned paid time off, 403(B) with company match, and 1 year salary of life insurance is available as well. Some benefits are available to employees working between 25-29 hours per week.
