GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION: It is the responsibility of the BSC to develop and oversee the implementation of formal behavior management plans, conduct functional behavioral assessments and provide behavioral consultation for BHRS clients as supervised by the prescribing psychologist and the Clinical Coordinator.

PRIMARY JOB FUNCTION(S):

  1. Conduct functional behavioral assessments of all new BHRS clients on personal caseload using established principles of conducting a functional behavioral assessment..
  2. Develop and oversee implementation of behavioral management plans.
  3. Provide crisis assessment and behavioral stabilization services as necessary.
  4. Provide clinical, mobile service delivery as defined by the program description, best practice standards and in full compliance with licensure standards.
  5. Provide clinical consultation to parents, extended family, teachers and other adult caregivers regarding prescribed behavioral interventions
  6. Collect outcome data for all clients at the time of service re-authorization.
  7. Implement clinical service delivery goals consistent with overall agency goals and policy/procedures.
  8. Provide clinical stabilization and case consultation to TSS and TSSA staff providing services on all shared cases and for other staff as required by the Coordinator.
  9. Provide clinical consultation to parents, extended family, teachers and other adult caregivers regarding prescribed behavioral interventions.
  10. Maintain quality documentation of clinical service delivery.

11. Ability to monitor service effectiveness and make modifications to services based on supervisory and/or consultative feedback.

  1. Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation, including but not limited to progress notes, treatment plans and discharge summaries.
  2. Provide the prescribing psychologist with complete, accurate and timely information regarding the frequency, intensity and duration of both target behaviors and prescribed replacement behaviors.

SECONDARY JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Report to direct supervisor and other administrative staff as required, in a timely basis.
  2. Complete all personally required trainings as per Professional Development Plan.
  3. Participate in agency committees to develop and implement program/service enhancement.
  4. Ability to work within a group to develop internal systems to improve or ensure quality services.

5. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, agency personnel and the general public.

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Education: Masters degree in a clinical discipline (i.e., clinical or counseling psychology, clinical social work).

Minimum Experience: One year of experience in the behavioral health field with children/adolescents and experience and/or formally documented education/training specific to behavioral principles, assessment and interventions (on-the-job training does not apply).

Minimum Licensure/Certification Requirements: Licensed or certification strongly preferred, but not required.

Required Clearances: Pennsylvania Child Abuse, Criminal and fingerprint based federal criminal history; Verification that employee is not on any Medicaid/Medicare Exclusion list

Additional Requirements: Ability to communicate on telephone, write, speak, read, type, sit for long periods of time, work with little direct supervision, and use a computer.
