Are you looking to make a change? Looking for a rewarding career? Then the Hispanic Health Council is the organization you have been looking for. This immersive role will provide direct counseling services for a range of needs. These area of needs vary and include mental illness, emotional disorders and substance abuse. You will also provide clinical consultation for psychiatric services.

What you'll do:

  • Assess appropriate level of care, length and type of treatment

  • Provide individual and group therapy and other treatment intervention services

  • Provide crisis intervention when appropriate

  • Provide excellent client service.

  • Participate in planning and supporting expansion of the program to remote sites

  • Maintain a clinical caseload

What we're looking for:

  • 3+ years of related experience required

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master’s degree in social work, family and marriage counseling, psychology, or closely related field required.

  • Experience with provision of case formulation to develop focused, goal-oriented treatment related to client readiness and developmental level.

  • Work with a broad range of cultural and ethnic groups tactfully and effectively

  • Principles and techniques of interviewing, mental health diagnostic assessment and appropriate counseling methods along with strong clinical assessment skills

  • Strong commitment to working within a team environment is required

  • Bilingual in Spanish required

  • Ability to perform job with integrity and values consistent with the HHC Mission
