This immersive role will provide direct counseling services for a range of needs. These area of needs vary and include mental illness, emotional disorders and substance abuse. You will also provide clinical consultation for psychiatric services.
What you'll do:
Assess appropriate level of care, length and type of treatment
Provide individual and group therapy and other treatment intervention services
Provide crisis intervention when appropriate
Provide excellent client service.
Participate in planning and supporting expansion of the program to remote sites
Maintain a clinical caseload
What we're looking for:
3+ years of related experience required
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master’s degree in social work, family and marriage counseling, psychology, or closely related field required.
Experience with provision of case formulation to develop focused, goal-oriented treatment related to client readiness and developmental level.
Work with a broad range of cultural and ethnic groups tactfully and effectively
Principles and techniques of interviewing, mental health diagnostic assessment and appropriate counseling methods along with strong clinical assessment skills
Strong commitment to working within a team environment is required
Bilingual in Spanish required
Ability to perform job with integrity and values consistent with the HHC Mission
