This position will support data retrieval and analysis within Supply Chain Fulfilment. Must be self-directed and motivated with strong analytical, collaboration, and presentation skills. It is essential for the candidate to be able to drive cross functional accountability and guide collaboration efforts to drive service/efficiency gains in the end-to-end process.

Role Responsibilities

  • Communicate with colleagues and stakeholders to understand the needs of the business and/or process
  • Prepares reports and dashboards that provide at-a-glance visuals that accurately summarize operations activity, status, and performance while providing actionable insights
  • Analyze the data and information to develop robust solutions to address challenges and obstacles within or impacting Supply Chain
  • Responsible for presenting findings to the key internal & external stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Collaborate with internal/external partners ( IT, Finance, DHL, TMC) to implement/improve effective systems
  • Communication skills: BI Analyst must work in groups, collect information from and present it to wide-ranging stakeholders in the company, translate and negotiate between parties, and communicate solutions in an accessible way. They must have strong written and spoken skills and feel confident presenting business cases and data trends to all levels of the organization.
  • Business knowledge and critical thinking: BI Analyst must understand many facets of the company with an emphasis on Supply Chain. They must be able to understand the roles of different individuals and departments, and how these departments interact cross-functionally. This business knowledge will then allow them to successfully analyze data points and build strategic plans.
  • Technical skills: BI analysts may use a wide range of technical programs, including programs in diagramming, data mining, process flow mapping for management of requirements, and presentation of results. Proficiency with ERP systems, big data mining techniques, database management, and systems engineering will be assets to this role
  • Ability to develop and align new platforms and technology solutions to drive business results and act as a liaison between the IT and business teams
  • Solid understanding of relational databases
  • Advanced SQL for operations such as: Table Creation, Record indexing, Normalization, Scripting, Sub-queries, Parameterization.
  • Proven aptitude with a general-purpose coding language (e.g., Python) and experience creating user facing developments, with robust error handling and logging where required.
  • Ownership of complex development tasks (full Extract, Transform, Load procedures, data cube creation, model creation), including full documentation and creation of training material.
  • Ensuring rigorous and robust testing of developed output and supporting other developers with the testing of their output.
  • Direct report to Sr. Analytics Manager
  • Works closely with Logistics, Commercial, Production and Demand Planning, Operations, COE Lead, S&OE Leads, Finance, Distributor Partners and Supply Chain Departments
     

Qualifications & Experience

  • 3 to 5 years or more in experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
  • Translates business needs into development tasks.
  • Capable of working independently on projects and miscellaneous assignments, and writing detailed executive summary reports
  • Self-sufficient in collaboration tools and workflow management (GitHub, Jira) with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, and independently in a fast-paced, and changing environment
  • Have a meticulous attention to detail and understanding that errors in working with data undermine any insights the output would deliver
  • Express ideas clearly, inform others effectively, practice attentive and active listening, and achieve mutual understanding through written and verbal communication as a competent and articulate writer of business communication, presentations, and proposals.
  • Exhibits a strong presence, comfortable with providing key deliverables and updates across all levels of management as well as subordinates
  • Possess a high degree of business acumen.
  • Proficiency in MRP/ERP (SAP a plus), Microsoft project suite, Tableau, Power BI, Python, BigQuery, SQL
