Job Description

Job Summary:
To Perform a wide variety of routine accounting functions with a primary emphasis on credit and collections. Works closely with the Credit Manager to ensure timely collection of all assigned receivables and generate customer statement and AR Aging reports on a timely and accurate basis. This position is the main contact with customers to resolve any stage of collection that may exist.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Effectively manage customer accounts ensuring they remain within established credit limits and provide payment on a regular and timely basis to meet collection targets
• Manage accounts receivable collection; inquire about status of payments and reach out to past due customers
• Resolve customer billing inquires related to A/R questions and disputes by analyzing detailed supporting documentation. When necessary, communicate internally with relevant departments to understand and resolve invoice issues, payment delays, and billing inquires
• Work with sales team and branch sites to resolve customer disputes
• Efficiently manage high volume of transactions to ensure timely invoice collections
• Process customer receipts in the system
• Monitor Accounts Receivable inbox and ensure inquiries are resolved
• Work with cash applications to ensure all open cash is resolved by month end.
• Provide a forecast of projected collections on a monthly basis
• Review open sales and sales return orders to ensure they are closed in a timely manner. 
• Perform other related duties as assigned 

Job Specifications
Skills:
• Ability to work independently and manage high volume of transactions
• Advanced Excel and data management skills: e.g., pivot tables, V-lookups, etc.
• Strong communication, documentation, and presentation skills
• Strong analytical and organization skills, with strong attention to detail
• Ability to communicate with account holders in a professional and courteous manner
• Experience working in manufacturing or energy industry, preferred
Education:
• High school diploma or equivalent required, some college experience preferred
Work Experience:
• 2-4 years of related experience in accounts receivables, collections and customer service preferred 
Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
