Staff Accountant

 

Hybrid Schedule: At home Mondays and Fridays

Competitive Pay: $55-70K, DOE

Full benefits, PTO Starts Accruing day 1

Wanting to work with a recognized medical Organization? We are in need of someone who is detail-oriented and has the drive to provide world-class service to the organization. This will be a Hybrid role that will provide ample opportunity to progress and grow within the organization.

 

Staff Accountant Requirements:

  • Accounting Degree (or related field) from an accredited university.
  • 2+ years of accounting experience with a large corporation.
  • Month-End Close experience / advanced knowledge.

 

Staff Accountant Responsibilities:

  • Record month-end close journal entries; accruals, amortization, and depreciation
  • Perform monthly budget vs. actual analysis for management
  • Balance sheet reconciliations including bank reconciliations, accounts receivables, fixed assets, and accrued expenses
  • Gather and maintain substantiation for transactions
  • Monitor daily work and follow up on outstanding issues to ensure results are obtained
  • Supporting annual audits
  • Supports the onboarding for new accounting members
  • Works closely with agencies and department heads to ensure documentation is correct and reconciled
  • Maintaining the general ledger, recording cash receipts and financial transactions.
  • Reconciling bank and credit card accounts
  • Help AP/AR teams as needed
  • Maintaining on-time and proper customer invoicing
  • Provide accounting and financial support to management as needed
  • Any other tasks as assigned
