General Manager- Production Control

Hino Motors Manufacturing U.S.A. Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Hino Motors, Ltd. (Japan) and a Toyota Group Company. For seven decades, Hino Motors, Ltd. has proudly manufactured the number one selling medium and heavy-duty truck in Japan. It also manufactures buses and diesel engines, Toyota’s FJ Cruiser and Land Cruiser Prado.

In the United States, Hino Motors Manufacturing U.S.A. currently has employees in 4 states including Michigan, Arkansas, West Virginia, and California. The Corporate Office resides in Novi, Michigan. Hino assembles medium-duty trucks at its Mineral Wells, West Virginia plant. Its manufacturing facilities in Marion, Arkansas produces axles, knuckles and suspension components for Toyota’s Tacoma, Tundra and Sequoia. Hino’s Parts Distribution Center in Mira Loma, California supplies Latin American and Caribbean distributors with genuine Hino service parts.

We are currently seeking a Production Planning & Control General Manager located in Mineral Wells/Williamstown, WV reporting directly to the Vice President of Manufacturing Services. This individual will be responsible for Leading and developing the Production Planning & Control Operations. Also including building teamwork to drive continuous improvement of scheduling processes, control and handling of inventories, on-time delivery, and costs.

• Manage 3rd party logistic company.

• Track and analyze logistics cost to reduce expenses and improve logistics effectiveness.

• Resolve production problems involving materials.

• Resolve supply chain problems which have the potential to impact the overall production operations.

• Lead employees, including the development, mentoring, and evaluations of employee.

• Support EPR system implementation and management.

• Support IATF certification.

• Supports the VP of Manufacturing Services with other incidental and related duties as requested.

Experience Level:

Minimum of 8 years of Leading a Production Planning & Control department in a high-volume manufacturing. Automotive experience highly desirable.

Educational Requirement:

• Bachelor’s degree required (Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management or Operations Management related field).

• Master’s degree preferred (MBA or Other).

Travel Requirements:

Travel up to 10-15% domestic and international travel to other plants, including Japan)
