As a Senior Payroll Specialist with Hines, you will maintain and process activities related to all payroll taxes, union dues and involuntary deductions, such as levies and garnishments, and preparing related accounting transactions and documents. In addition, you will be responsible for payroll preparation and processing. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
+ Responsible for payroll taxes, including compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and will work with 3rd party tax provider to ensure the accuracy of tax liabilities and reconcile to withholdings
+ Ensure accuracy of payroll earnings, deductions and tax withholding
+ Set up involuntary deductions, such as, levies and garnishments, in Workday and verify accuracy and in compliance
+ Prepare schedules to collect payroll expenses from various sources and reconcile collections to expenses
+ Maintain and reconcile other payroll liability payments including and not limited to unions dues, wageworks, etc.
+ Maintain, audit, and evaluate union dues process
+ Maintain, process, and audit payroll
+ Create reports within Workday as needed or requested for payroll information or to identify issues within the payroll process
+ Assist with special projects to support payroll area
Minimum Requirements include:
+ Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting or related field from an accredited institution
+ Three or more years' payroll experience preferred
+ Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel
+ Workday payroll processing & reporting experience preferred
+ Demonstrate strong attention to detail
+ Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while meeting deadlines timely and accurately
