The eCommerce group provides streamlined processes and strategic digital expertise to our hotels. We provide needs-based support and local solutions, partnering with Destination Marketing experts. We also optimize digital presence, provide dedicated support to new hotel openings and optimize performance by running regional campaigns and identify opportunities, leveraging destination specific brand/category liaisons. What will I be doing? Are you interested in leading, mentoring and supporting a Regional Destination Marketing team and being a digital marketing authority? Join Hilton's premier Destination Marketing team as the Director, Destination Marketing and use your social media skills to help drive our business growth. In this critical leadership role, you will lead the eCommerce function across your assigned region while defining strategies and implementing tactics to achieve hotel and portfolio level revenue targets. You will collaborate with key partners in Digital, at agencies and hotels, as well as owners. You will need to possess business awareness, people management, process improvement and talent development. This will include ongoing staffing and hiring decisions. You will need to effectively lead a team spread across multiple physical locations with a mix of office-based and remote-based team members. You will be responsible for not only building a high-functioning team with a positive culture, but also growing and developing our future leaders. More specifically, you will: Ensure that each destination has a tailored annual marketing plan, including offline and digital destination-specific campaigns throughout the year using national campaigns wherever possible and adapting to needs as they arise. Partner with colleagues in other main and secondary destinations to build outbound source-market activity across markets while building and sustaining an ambitious and agile team culture. Cultivate and bring to bear key in-market relationships, partnerships and resources (CVBs, DMOs etc.) Develop and craft local partnerships that differentiate Hilton in the marketplace, extend our reach and drive affinity for the Hilton brands. Lead and execute partnership activity including: placements in partner marketing channels, social media, content development, contests/sweeps, hospitality/client entertaining, exclusive discounts, etc. Assist with content curation across hotel websites. Content should be fresh, engaging and position the hotel relative to our high-reaching set. Provide support to all hotels in the destination to optimize their online and offline hotel presence with a particular focus on growing book-direct revenue and channel mix. Partner across the sales organization to promote the destination and drive leads through group activations and other sales partnership activity. Promote destination marketing activities and the benefits of the Hilton marketing engine to destination hotels, internal partners, management companies and owners. Lead market communications through a series of regular, established touchpoints (in person, phone, webinar, newsletter). Collaborate across the organization (brand marketing, enterprise marketing and Honors) to use destination marketing assets for wider company goals. Ensure destination activities best support commercial performance for the market. Reconcile and track annual spend against the destination allocations. Recruit and mentor elite talent while building a high-performing, thriving environment to promote a highly engaged, team culture.What are we looking for? We believe success in this role will demonstrate itself through the following attributes and skills: Critical thinking and decision-making Business performance and accountability Communication Leadership and mentoring Influence and collaboration Creativity and innovation Project management Relationship management Entrepreneurship and selling To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications: Ten (10) years overall experience in related roles Five (5) years in integrated marketing and/or digital marketing Five (5) years in an advertising, marketing, or media purchasing role Five (5) years presenting findings (story-telling) to internal and/or external customers and providing strategic recommendations Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Analytics experience Travel as required It would be helpful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions: BA/BS Bachelor's Degree Seven (7) years of Digital Marketing and/or eCommerce experience (SEO, Paid Search) Seven (7) years of experience reviewing data, manipulating data and developing insights Seven (7) years of experience with integrated marketing strategies, or Digital Marketing and eCommerce experience Hospitality and/or travel industry experienceWhat will it be like to work for Hilton?
