Manager - Inventory Revenue

What will I be doing?

As an Inventory Revenue Manager you will be responsible for driving company success through performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Develop and execute revenue management strategies in conjunction with marketing strategies to maximize HGV revenue and tour generation

  • Perform critical analysis to determine the best decisions for maximizing HGV’s marketing revenue, tours and volume per guest (VPG)

  • Ensure that Hawaii marketing inventory is being efficiently utilized by all marketing channels and control marketing room inventory in compliance with the optimal mix for and optimal allotment 0 to 12 months rolling

  • Protect and preserve room types for highest contribution customers

  • Communicate and alert revenue management committee of variances to optimal mix compliance

  • Coordinate with Call Center leaders to align room inventory and to monitor/train the teams on proper usage of rooms

  • Define length of stay requirements by room type and make decisions to open/close room types

  • Work with management to provide recommendations and/or develop operating procedures, training programs, incentives, and marketing programs

  • Interview, train, supervise, counsel, schedule and evaluate staff

  • Coach on performance and issue verbal and written disciplinary or progressive counseling when needed

  • Publish Asia Pacific policies and process for room requests, room holds, wait lists and use of inventory

  • Coordinate with the hotel partners on room availability and stop sells and maintain hotel room inventory in Voice
  • Assist with special room requests at the hotel and requests during black-out dates

  • Work with marketing teams to monitor compliance with rates, high season, upgrade charge, extra nights charge, and any special cancellation policies

  • Produce, update, and maintain various reports (to include package reports, in-house reports and inventory reports)

  • Prepare presentations for meetings to communicate strategies, performance results, and potential risks associated with the forecast

  • Other administrative duties including management meetings, running reports and tasks as assigned by management.

  • 1+ year(s) of revenue management experience in a management role

  • Proven ability to exceed performance targets

  • Ability to effectively communicate (oral and written) with internal and external customers
  • Must have strong organizational skills to manage multiple duties and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced computer proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office

  • BA/BS/Bachelor’s Degree

  • 2+ years of supervisory experience

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to read write and speak fluent English and Japanese
  • Prior timeshare, hospitality, call center, sales or customer service experience
