Customer Care Representative (Japanese Speaking)

A Customer Care Representative (Japanese Speaking) answers calls from guests who have booked packages or tours scheduled and provides a high-level of customer service in regards to their upcoming vacation. They work closely with other Call Center teams to process package reservations and schedule tours.  


What will I be doing?


As a Customer Care Representative (Japanese Speaking) you would be responsible for executing your position's responsibilities in alignment with our Spirit of Service culture and driving company success through performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Assist customers via phone or email, including reservation changes, cancellations, or other inquiries
  • Use company systems to update guest lead information, create package reservations, book tours, charge credit cards and send confirmation letters
  • Provide customer/concierge services to all guests including the sale of tours and activities
  • Provide complete and accurate information to guests on every telephone call or electronic communication, especially information about the destination, tour presentation, accommodations, premiums and promotions
  • Make confirmation calls prior to guest's arrival to confirm the details of their upcoming stay
  • Work with Resort Operations and onsite marketing leaders to assist with guest issues
  • Meet budgeted targets on a monthly basis
  • Handle situations with dissatisfied guests
  • Comply with all reasonable requests put forth by management

  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks
  • Be able to work in a timely manner, critically think, and work in a team environment
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Fluency in Japanese language (reading, writing and speaking)
  • Ability to read, write and speak in English language
  • High school diploma or equivalent
It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • 3 months of customer service experience
  • Experience working in timeshare or hospitality industry
  • Previous sales experience
  • Previous call center experience
  • Thorough understanding of the island of the island of Oahu with ability to explain activities, restaurants, and destinations throughout the island
