Senior Account Manager

HTS is searching for an Senior Account Manager, a leader, who will be responsible for the growth of our company within specific geographical regions. The optimal candidate will have customer affinity, business acuity, technical awareness, and managerial excellence. The candidate will be responsible for seizing the initiative and driving business while directly supporting a customer. The Senior Account Manager will initially be a 'player / coach' and will own the business that is developed within the specific region.

In addition to exceeding customer requirements, the Senior Account Manager will focus on customer acquisition, lead generation, and prospect management, as this role will garner and manage relationships with potential clients. The Senior Account Manager will be responsible to research local customer requirements and map to Hill Technical Solutions capabilities, network with customers and potential teaming partners, provide prospective customers/clients with all services offered and additional presentations as needed, work with clients to create solutions for their needs, and consult throughout the capture process. Must be energetic, well-spoken, and eager to generate and increase revenue.

Account Manager Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identifying, qualifying, and securing business opportunities; coordinating business generation activities; developing customized targeted customer strategies
  • Building business relationships with current and potential clients
  • Understanding client needs and offering solutions and support; answering potential client questions and follow-up call questions; responding to client Requests for Information (RFIs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs)
  • Collaborating with business development and leadership to secure, retain, and grow accounts
  • Creating informative presentations; presenting and delivering information to potential clients at client meetings, industry exhibits, trade shows, and conferences
  • Creating and maintaining a list/database of prospect clients; maintaining a database/pipeline of prospective client information, and incorporating that local pipeline into Hill's corporate pipeline
  • Maintaining a pipeline of all revenue backlogs and projections using C2P software
  • Collaborating with management on revenue goals, planning, and forecasting; maintaining short- and long-term business development plans

Account Manager Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science
  • 15+ years of Military, Government Civilian, or Government contracting experience
  • Ten years of Business Development/Capture experience
  • Expert knowledge of Government Contracts
  • Expert in Business Development processes
  • Knowledge, relationships, and affinity with local customers
  • Experience with lead generation and prospect management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to call, connect, and interact with potential customers
  • Persuasive and goal-oriented
  • Possesses an energetic, outgoing, and friendly demeanor
  • Excellent analytical and time-management skills
  • Demonstrated and proven revenue growth
  • Ability to work independently and grow and lead a team
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel) and CRM experience preferred


  • MS or MBA
  • 20 years of Military, Civilian, or Government contracting Experience
  • Knowledgeable of Strength-based, Customer Focused Solutioning.
  • Experience with Capture 2 Proposal CRM Tool

Security Requirements:

  • Potential need for clearance: minimum of US Secret security clearance.
