What to expect as a HCTC Sales Account Representative: Each day you will interface with current and potential business customers as well as internal colleagues working to promote and sell HCTC services. Your responsibilities will include: .

  • Sells business solutions and telecommunications equipment by identifying, researching and contacting potential customers.
  • Develops and maintains customer relationships through follow up calls, emails and site visits. May serve as a liaison for all account issues.
  • Follows up on sales leads from Business Account Management team, technicians, advertisements, and promotions. Informs and educates potential customers of available products and services.
  • Defines potential customer needs, identifies solutions, develops proposals and sales presentations, and closes the sale. Works with technical and business systems sales engineers on complex customer solutions.
  • Maintains contact with existing customer base and capitalizes on any new sales opportunities by introducing new technologies, products and services to support client operations.
  • Follows up with customers after installations and alterations to ensure the customer is satisfied and had a good customer experience.
  • Maintains record of all current and prospective customer contacts through Sales Force.
  • Participates in on-going learning training and courses to learn and stay abreast of new technology services and business systems supported.
  • Collaborates with Manager, Sales and Wholesale Account Executive to monitor, set and meet sales goals.
  • Collaborates with Business Account Management team representatives to ensure the delivery of exceptional service and customer experience.
  • Provides pertinent customer feedback on nature of services desired, installation experience and any account issues to improve future customer experience.
  • Attend area civic events such as chamber mixers, meetings and builder open houses as requested.
  • Provide weekly status reports of ongoing sales leads through Sales Force.

Qualifications: Minimum 2-4 years proven sales and account management experience, preferably in a technical industry. Prior experience with e-rate funding and enterprise and/or wholesale level telecommunications sales is highly preferred. Excellent communication and relationship building skills Experience with customer cold calling techniques and utilizing CRM systems. Knowledge of networking a plus, this includes an understanding of current WiFi standards, networking equipment such as routers and switches as well as CPE fiber and copper cabling infrastructure.
