Position: Food Truck - Lead

Limestone BBQ and Bourbon, a Texas style BBQ spot with hand selected Bourbon and craft cocktails opened in July 2018. Let’s get one thing straight: merely throwing meat on a grill is not barbecue —Real Texas BBQ is an experience. It’s like a cult if you will. True BBQ is distinctly American, and patriotism never tasted so DElicious. LBB will have a food truck and we are looking for the right person to lead this show on the road.
Our Food Truck - Lead is responsible for overseeing all aspects of our mobile BBQ restaurant. The person in this role will ensure that amazing customer service and quality food are served to each and every Guest. Will be held accountable for Team Members working on the food truck, making sure all adhere to state, local and organizational standards. Creating and maintaining relationships with area businesses. Seamless service and standards a Guest would receive from our restaurant or catered event would be expected from our food truck and the person in this role will ensure that this is the case.
Responsibilities of a Food Truck ~ Lead include:
Supporting the Limestone BBQ Management Team during “parked days”
Position based at the Limestone BBQ location
Oversee day to day operations of food truck business
Drive the food truck to client events, trade shows and sampling events (training provided. Acceptable driver record and personal insurance required)
Lead team of associates and oversee food inventory - ensuring accuracy and consistency.
Actively promote and own truck events, initiatives, marketing activities and recruitment.
Work cross functionally with various departments within our organization, including but not limited to, marketing, leadership, ownership and operations support.
Ensure consistent and error-free cash management.
Other duties as directed regarding operations at other locations during down time.
Facilitating all Plannings in an organized fashion to the Operations Team to execute events.
Food prep, cooking, and cleaning.
Maintain proper records including food production, inventory and safety.
Scheduling Team Members with an awareness of upcoming events - offering feedback after event via Manager’s log
Work to develop and maintain community relationships while out in the field - always on stage.
Ability to be adaptable to changing business needs, offering suggestions to Management.
Solid and proven situational awareness when dealing with the public.
Coordinates maintenance and communicates any issue with truck or it’s equipment to LBB Management.
Work hard and have fun doing it!
2+ years of restaurant management experience (preferably with remote food service background)
Ability to stand during eight to twelve-hour shifts and work any day of the week (usually 5 days/week).
Must have physical and mental strength and endurance to be able to perform duties in at times extreme conditions.
Thinking on the fly a must to react to operational and administrative stressors while on the road, making decisions that align with our Guests and business.
Strong customer service, operational, communication, organizational and decision-making skills along with a positive, enthusiastic attitude is a must.
A passion for and knowledge of BBQ is a BONUS!
