Ensures all quality programs, policies, initiatives and products meet the customer’s quality standards. Works in conjunction with others in Quality Department to reduce the number of defects and improve all levels of quality.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
·Performs and documents visual and dimensional inspection on products to determine conformance with customer requirements, technical specifications, manufacturing drawings, and applicable standards
·Perform detailed assessment of products and their components at different stages of production. (Machining, Forming, Welding, Assembly)
·Read and interpret blueprint drawings including Geometric Dimension & Tolerance (GD&T)
·Measure machined, welded, fabricated metal parts with the Mitutoyo CMM & FARO Arm
·Report non-conforming parts to the QA Manager and/or the Supervisors
·Utilize precision measuring equipment (Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gauges, Etc.)
·Work with the scheduling & planning departments to assist in expediting of parts
·Familiar with ISO 9001 concepts, practices, and procedures.
·First article and PPAP documentation
·Proficient with MS Office applications (Word, Excel) to edit/create reports

·Must have good mathematical reasoning to calculate measurements
·Must be able to operate measuring equipment
·Must be very analytical to ensure good quality of product
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work will be performed in a manufacturing and office environment with low to high noise levels. Stooping, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling, grasping, and operating machinery/tools are an occasional demand of the job. Standing, reaching, lifting, fingering, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions are considered constant demands of the job. This is considered medium work in which exerting up to 50 lbs. of force is required.
·3+ years’ experience working with blueprint drawings
·3+ years quality control experience in a metal manufacturing environment (CNC, Sheet Metal, Press Brake, Welding)
·HS Diploma or GED required, experience in lieu of diploma will be considered
·Must be eligible to work in the U.S
