| SHIFT: | MondayFriday, some Saturdays, flexible schedule; typically, between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM | REPORTS TO: | Chief Financial OfficerSummaryManage the day to day duties of accounting, including verifying payroll funds transferred, with other payroll duties, Accounts Payable and Accounts receivables are kept up to date. General ledger balancing and verification for accuracy. Corporate income tax establish systems and controls to verify the integrity of all systems.Essential DutiesReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Must be organized, self-motivated and team player
Ability to operate a personal computer
Punctuality and good attendance are imperative
Cross-sell the Bank's other products and services, referring customers to appropriate staff as indicated.
Foster teamwork in the branches or departments to ensure a positive overall customer experience and positive work environment.
Participate in bank training to enhance skill set and meet compliance requirements.
Assists in answering telephones, answers questions and direct callers to proper Bank personnel
Exempt - Ability to work 45+ hours a week and complete tasks assigned.
Responsible for coaching employees to success, which may include disciplinary action.
Prepare quarterly and annual performance evaluations for all employees

Effective Time management skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
Ability to work with minimal supervision while performing duties.
Ability to deal with routine problems involving multiple facets and variables.
Must follow company policies, all state and federal laws, regulations and guidelines
Current driver's license and a vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage if required to drive in the course of performing assigned duties and responsibilities.
The incumbent must be able to perform this position safely, without endangering the health or safety to themselves or others.

Supervisory Responsibilities
The position of Controller has supervisory responsibility of several employees.
Environment and Physical Activity
The environment for this position is an open office that is mostly clean and comfortable and includes driving a Bank or personal-owned vehicle approximately 15% of the time which includes exposure to the outside weather elements and moving mechanical parts. It may include some minor annoyances such as noise, odors, drafts, etc. The incumbent is in a non-confined office-type setting in which he or she is free to move about at will.
The incumbent in the course of performing this position spends time writing, typing, speaking, listening, lifting (up to 10 pounds), carrying, seeing (such as close, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and adjusted focus), sitting, pulling, walking, standing, squatting, kneeling and reaching.
The incumbent for this position may operate any or all of the following: telephone, copy and fax machines, adding machine (calculator), computer terminal, personal computer and related printers
Mental Demands
The incumbent in this position must be able to accommodate to reading documents or instruments, detailed work, problem solving, customer contact, reasoning, math, language, presentations, verbal and written communication, analytical reasoning, stress, multiple concurrent tasks, and constant interruptions.

- Oversee the activities of the corporate accounting department for the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including, but not limited to, internal and external monthly financial statements and annual audits and annual budgets.
- Oversee the activities of the disbursement department, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, purchase orders, petty cash, core employee expense reports, cash control, core payroll processing and total corporate payroll tax compliance.
- Oversee the activities of the accounts receivable department to ensure the accurate and timely management of all accounts receivable aging components including billings, cash receipts application, etc..; funding service management, which includes weekly funding reports and customer service; quarter and year-end payroll closing including federal and state reports; and check statistic management.
- Assure corporate income tax compliance to assure the accurate and timely completion of all corporate income tax returns taking full advantage of all favorable tax codes.
- Establish and maintain systems and controls that verify the integrity of all systems, processes and data, and enhance the company's value.
- Respond to CFO as assigned with accurate and timely work to facilitate his financial needs.
- Participate in a wide variety of special projects and compile a variety of special reports.
- Communicate with co-workers, management, clients and others in a courteous and professional manner.
- Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.

Minimum Requirements

- High School Diploma with 15 years of hands-on accounting managerial experience, or Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance + 10 years of hands-on accounting managerial experience, or Masters Degree in accounting or finance + 8 years of hands-on accounting managerial experience with CPA credentials, preferred.
- Previous experience in managing 2 or more employees.
