Business Development Representative

The Role

The SR. Business Development Representative, will work alongside our CEO to ensure business development within our target market. They will be responsible for participating in networking and attending social events on behalf of the company. They will build a book of business and provide exceptional customer service and drives loyalty with existing customers while seeking opportunities to build new relationships.

The Team Member We Need

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is a self-starter who can think outside the box to solve problems. We're looking for someone with a high attention to detail and possesses a strong desire to source and secure new business within the market. This person must be an excellent communicator, motivator and strong team player.

Responsibilities

  • Generate and develop sales with residential homeowners
  • Monitoring installation of hardscapes and landscapes
  • Create and develop landscape designs, sprinkler systems and lighting systems
  • Communicate with Production any and all requests from the client
  • Provide immediate solutions to any customer concerns or complaints
  • Sell landscape construction services to the Commercial / property management market
  • Attend and represent the company at business meetings, networking events, meet-and-greets, industry meetings.
  • Plans and maintains adequate cold and warm calls/leads to cover the market.
  • Build business relationships with current and potential clients, converting them into business opportunities.
  • Manage, present and report business development pipeline activities on a weekly basis.
  • Prepares and presents proposals in complete and professional manner, according to company standards. Follows-up on hard bids and offers value engineered solutions to customers.
  • Ensures all estimates are prepared and approved as needed prior to presenting to customer.
  • Responds to all inquiries and requests for bid in a timely manner.
  • Mentor Jr. Sales representatives in increase individual sales

Preferred Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Design or Landscape Architecture preferred, but not required
  • 3-5 Business to Customer Sales Experience
  • Knowledge of computer application, i.e.; MS office Suite, Excel
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong Detail orientation
  • Results and Action oriented
  • Technical abilities to input and maintain database information
  • Focused on continued learning and expansion of design talent and offerings
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
