We are looking for someone customer obsessed and technology savvy - with a passion for student achievement and software. At Herff Jones we may have been around for 100 years but we still have the mentality of a scrappy startup. For you, that means your job may grow and change over time. Analyzes market research, trends, projections, and innovations to formulate new product concepts and designs. Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners. Manage prioritization and trade-offs among customer experience, performance, and operational support. Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues that may impair the team’s ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals. Demonstrate strong financial acumen and logical decision making in the general business environment. Understand and demonstrate sound thought processes as it relates to business cases, investment requests, forecasting, pricing, and assessing strategic options. What You’ll Bring to the Table: Bachelor’s degree or higher with a technical discipline (MBA or Master’s degree, preferred) 7+ years of experience in product management, product marketing, business development, or technology. Demonstrated ownership of the full life cycle of a product from conception to delivery to maturity including strategy and definition, feature roadmap, delivery, and tradeoffs of a product, end to end product delivery. Experience contributing to implementation discussions around technology decisions and strategies related to a product. Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated experience engaging and influencing senior executives. Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions. High attention to detail including precise and effective customer communications and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously. Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage tradeoffs, and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with internal and external partners.
