The Substance Abuse Therapist II assesses, treats and coordinates the care of adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients with substance use disorders and/or co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders. Minimum Education Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or related field. Minimum Work Experience Five (5) year employment history.
Required Licenses/Certifications Valid LMSW or LPC license in the State of Michigan. Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Professional integrity in handling confidential matters. Computer proficiency including Microsoft Work, Excel and email applications.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications CAADC substance abuse credential is preferred. If not credentialed, must be willing to enter into a development plan with the Michigan Certification Board for Addiction Professionals to obtain necessary credentials.
